How to create your Ohio Medicaid (Ohio Benefits) account

  1. Go to the Ohio Benefits website Ohio Benefits

  2. Click “Create an Account.”

  3. Enter your basic info:

    • Name

    • Date of birth

    • Email address

  4. Create your username and password.

  5. Log in to your new account.

🔗 Link your existing Medicaid application

After logging in:

  • Click “Link an Existing Case.”

  • Enter one of the following:

    • Case number OR

    • Social Security Number + Date of Birth

👉 If everything matches, your submitted Medicaid application will appear.

 

What you can do in your account

  • Check your application status

  • Upload verification documents

  • View notices and approval letters

  • Report changes (income, address, etc.)

  • Renew your Medicaid coverage

 

⚠️ If your case doesn’t show up - This happens sometimes. - Try:

  • Waiting 1–2 days after applying

  • Double-checking your SSN/DOB

  • Using your case number if available
