Hoosier Healthwise is an insurance program within the Indiana Medicaid Office that provides healthcare coverage to children, pregnant women, and low income families.

 

Health care is provided at little or no cost to the individual or their family. Benefits includes doctor visits, pharmacy and prescription drugs, mental health care, dental and visions services, hospitalizations, surgeries, family planning, referrals and preapprovals.

 

Pregnant women and children up to age 19 with an income between 150% and 200% of the federal income poverty level are eligible for benefits. Families with income up to 250% of the federal poverty level can qualify for the Children’s Health Insurance Program through HHW.
